I can't find an e-mail address to ask this question I am a Ph.D. author (definitive author of the Eagle Squadrons) and I have a new book about to be published with a biography and picture of each of these 245 men I am a looking for a picture and/or an account of Walter Gordon Soares, a member of the historic Eagle Squadron, men who volunteered to fly for the RAF prior to the U.S. entering W.W. II. He was born on December 19, 1918 in Brawley, California and was killed in England on September 27, 1941. Soares is one of only 5 of the men for whom I do not have a picture, so am searching everywhere. Any help that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Many times these deaths were reported to the local newspapers, but I don't know which newspapers served this area in 1941. Thank you. B. Gen. (Ret.) Philip D.
